Online shopping for the car insurance quotes in PA has never been easier, but with so many choices out there, it's easy for the process to get mired in just too much information.

There are many auto insurance carriers who provide coverage for Pennsylvania drivers and they vary in both price and service.

Another key differentiator is customer satisfaction levels. In an independent survey conducted by Lightspeed GMI: Global Market Research, which was contracted by InsuraMatch to do the study, customers of different insurance companies were asked about overall satisfaction levels.

When shopping for the best car insurance coverage in PA, there are several factors to look at, including price, coverage, accident claims service, company financial ratings, and customer service reviews. The survey, which was conducted during the summer and early fall of 2014, examined multiple carriers who offer online quotes through InsuraMatch.

Customers were asked to reate their overall experience with each carrier. Those who scored among the best car insurance, by both Pennsylvanians and elsewhere, included:

- Progressive Insurance: Nearly half of all respondents (46 percent) gave Progressive

five stars for overall rating on their experience and 37.5 percent gave the carrier

four stars.
- Esurance: customers gave Esurance a 47 percent five-star rating followed by 38

percent who gave the carrier four stars.
- Metlife: More than 4 out of five customers (41.5 percent) gave Metlife a five-star

rating and 37.5 percent gave the insurance carrier four stars.

Other top carriers included Travelers, Geico, and 21st Century.

When shopping for the best insurance in Pennsylvania, it's important to understand which insurance carriers serve the state and those who do not. Customer satisfaction levels are an important factor but doing online research and comparing quotes should also be part of the process.

Online agents, like InsuraMatch, allow prospective customers to shop multiple insurance carriers at one time. You can compare prices, coverage levels, and more.
